Fix VNC Server Has No Authentication Schemes Configured Error

VNC Server Has No Authentication Schemes

After installing RealVNC server on your Linux desktop, you may come across a problem where you can not start the VNC server as you do not have the superuser privileges configured to start the server. To fix this, open the terminal and type:

sudo vnclicensewiz

Now fill your login credentials and submit it, this will set up your license. Then you have to change the way RealVNC authenticates the VNC client. To do so, type:

sudo vncpasswd -service

Type the password you want to use for connection to the server. After confirming your password, you will need to edit  /root/.vnc/config.d/vncserver-x11 file. Type:

sudo nano /root/.vnc/config.d/vncserver-x11

Add Authentication=VncAuth at the end of file and save it. Now restart VNC server by typing:

sudo systemctl restart vncserver-x11-serviced.service

That's it. This will fix the RealVNC authentication error.
